Through an image of him wearing a Lend a hand to Hugo hoodie and beanie, Lend a hand to Hugo recently announced that the AFL's all time leading game record holder Brent Harvey has pledged his support to the charity on our journey to enable, not label those living with the Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Although Brent has retired, it has been well publicised that he is still playing football for North Heidelberg in the Victorian Northern Football League. Brent kicked nine goals and had fifty-four disposals last weekend and he will now be running around the football oval with Lend a hand to Hugo shoe laces in his boots.

"The Lend a hand to Hugo shoe laces work to create discussion and awareness for the autism spectrum disorder" said Lend a hand to Hugo founder Luke Williams.

"When people see the shoe laces, we want them to think about the importance of acceptance and inclusion. As a charity, we are working towards extinguishing the surrounding stigma's that those living with autism are limited," Luke aaid.

When asked about the charities recent push of 'enabling, not labelling', Williams said that "through accepting, we hope that instead of labelling people with autism, the everyday public will enable those on the spectrum to let their true colours shine, because they have so much to offer."

"We are incredibly proud to have Brent supporting our charity. He was a huge role model of mine growing up, and having his backing proves that our key messages are being voiced, and heard!"
