On Friday evening Lend a hand to Hugo held a workshop with eleven of our eighteen Cricket Tasmania Premier League ambassadors to launch our 'Cricket Tasmania Premier League (CTPL) ambassador program'.

"We recognised that there was a lack of knowledge through clubs in terms of understanding circumstances and using derogatory language," said Lend a hand to Hugo Founder Luke Williams.

"We have selected a core group of ambassadors who will embody our key values through their clubs, striving towards creating more accepting and inclusive environments."

Lend a hand to Hugo puts emphasis on raising awareness through sport, and through the CTPL ambassador Program, the charity is taking the next step in becoming an important diversity engagement program through cricket.

"Our ambassadors will not only display these values, but will partake in various activations that our charity will run in the duration of the 2017/18 Cricket season," Williams said.

When asked about the selection process in terms of which players were the right fits as ambassadors, Williams said "we put emphasis on ensuring that our ambassadors were influential voices in their respective clubs, and that they carry out Lend a hand to Hugo's actions on and off the field."

Round 1 of the Cricket Tasmania Premier League season commences in late September where the Lend a hand to Hugo ribbon sticker will feature heavily through various clubs on the back of cricket bats.
